Social Services Support for COVID-19 funding

NOTE: Effective April 21, 2020, the Government of Alberta will be temporarily suspending applications for the $30 million in emergency social services funding to charities, not-for-profits and civil society organizations to support their COVID-19 response. Government has received over 600 applications. Current applications are being reviewed, and approvals for urgent requests will occur before reopening intake of applications. 

The Province of Alberta has made $30 million available province-wide to allow community groups and organizations to deliver special social programs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding for Crossfield is now available.

Completed applications should be sent to Courtney Cox, FCSS Director.

 The mandate of Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is for communities to design and deliver social programs that are preventative in nature to promote and enhance well-being among individuals, families and communities.

The programs developed are intended to help individuals within their communities to adopt healthy lifestyles, thereby improving their quality of life, and building capacity to prevent and/or deal with crisis.

FCSS funds internal and external programs.
