Volunteers Needed

Are you interested in volunteering in your community? Are you an organization looking for volunteers?

The Town of Crossfield is always looking for and encouraging residents of Crossfield to get involved. One of the best ways to get to know your community is to volunteer. 

Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB)


The Town of Crossfield is looking for two volunteers to sit on the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB).

The SDAB deals with subdivision and development appeals in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Government Act (MGA) and exercises any other powers, duties and functions given to it be any other bylaws of council.

SDAB meet as necessary during the day or the evening at the Town of Crossfield, Council Chamber.

If you are interested in sitting as member on the SDAB, please complete our Town of Crossfield Board & Committee Application and return it to the Town Office at 1005 Ross Street, Crossfield or by email.

Crossfield Outdoor Recreation Association (CORA)


CORA is looking for members who are involved in or interested in outdoor recreation for youth - please call Annette at 403-946-0180.

 Tails to Tell Animal Shelter


Tails to Tell Animal Shelter is looking for more volunteers. Volunteers can be age 16 or over, and will be responsible for basic animal care while volunteering at the shelter.

Interested volunteers can stop by the shelter during business hours or request more information by email.

Crossfield Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business in Crossfield. The Chamber brings together Crossfield businesses to work together to improve economic conditions in town. Businesses of all sizes are welcome to become members.

Meetings: Last Tuesday of the month

Town of Crossfield Municipal Library Board & Ann Grover Library Society

The Town of Crossfield Library Board and Ann Grover Library Society are seeking additional volunteers for their Board of Directors.

The Town of Crossfield Library Board

The Board oversees the daily operations of the Crossfield Municipal Library, manages the financials and contributes ideas to new programs and services.

Meetings: Third Wednesday of the month (no meeting July, Aug. or Dec.)
Location: Crossfield Municipal Library  - 1210 Railway Street
Time: 7 p.m.

Ann Grover Library Society

The Society is responsible for major fundraising for the library. They plan fundraisers and apply for various gaming events, including a casino approximately every three years. This is a great opportunity for event planners keen to help fundraise for the library.

Meetings: Board meetings are, at minimum, an annual general meeting; other meetings are as needed for each event.
