 Crossfield Recreation & Events

Crossfield's recreation and events department works hard to deliver fun, safe, family-oriented programs and events for all to enjoy. Events scattered throughout the year offer a chance for Crossfield's residents to come together to further their feeling of community and belonging, while regular programming delivers resources and activities catering to all ages. Keep a close eye for events happening in our community!

 Crossfield Escapes Youth Programs
(formerly Crossfield Summer Youth Rec Program)

It's summertime at the Town of Crossfield! Crossfield Escapes Youth Program (formerly Crossfield Summer Youth Rec Program) is a year-round recreational program for children ages 8 and up, embarking on adventures during mid-year and summer school breaks. See all of the latest adventures on our Crossfield Escapes Facebook page!

We are unable to accept online registrations at this time. Registrations will be accepted at the Town Office during regular business hours (cash, cheque, debit, credit), as well as at the Crossfield Farmers' Market on Thursdays from 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm (cash or cheque only).

 Crossfield Summer Day Camp

Crossfield Summer Adventures Day Camp will be returning in July 2019 for its 31st year! This board-run program runs weekdays from July 8th until August 16th, from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm, for children ages 5 - 12 years. Themed weeks, with a weekly field trip, entertain youth during the summmer months. Single days are also available. Updates for this program will be added in June 2019. Watch for all the latest!

 Financial Assistance

KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process we provide grants so they can play a season of sport. Nationally, KidSport is comprised of a network of 11 provincial/territorial KidSport chapters and 178 community KidSport chapters. Since its creation in 1993, over 450,000 kids across the country have been given the chance to play sport through KidSport grants and sport introduction programming.

Jumpstart is available for families who require financial assistance to provide sports opportunities for their children. The Summer Adventures and the Youth Summer Recreation Programs qualify for Jumpstart funding. Applications for Jumpstart are to be completed with a Community Links representative.
