Community Profile

Crossfield is a community with a population of 3,055 based on the 2017 Census.  The convenience of a community in a close proximity to two city centres (Calgary and Airdrie) provides residents easy access to big city amenities from the vantage point of quiet country living at its best.

Crossfield offers two schools, a volunteer fire department, a community centre, ice arena, curling rink, library, 18 hole golf course, seniors' complexes, walking paths and more.

We believe that Crossfield is a safe, nurturing community that offers a great combination of country and urban living. Residents have easy access to work, shopping, recreational/cultural attractions, and educational institutions.

If you are looking for a new place to start a business, consider the Town of Crossfield. We are an energetic community and  opportunity abounds for retail, commercial and industry.

Our location adjacent to Highway 2A and easy access to the Queen Elizabeth Highway (QE2) corridor provides direct access to major trading centres, such as Calgary, Airdrie, and Edmonton, as well as access to the smaller municipalities along the QE2.  Crossfield has no business tax and has a low utility rate (compared to surrounding municipalities).

If you are looking for a new place, Crossfield welcomes you to consider our unique advantages.
