Mayors Message:
What an exciting time this is for us here in Crossfield. I sense that there is great anticipation and expectation in our community. I can tell you that our council is united and we are moving forward. We are listening to you. We want you to feel confident in approaching us with your proposals. If your not quite at the proposal stage, then come and share your ideas with us. We want you to be successful. We are here to help you. I know I've said this before but I really do believe it to be true. The only limits stopping us are the ones we impose upon ourselves. Let us be bold. Lets strike out and break through barriers. Let us tear down the walls that divide us and realize that we are far more alike than different. Let us work together to ensure everyone has an opportunity to feel accepted and appreciated. I am deeply honored to be leading a community that is so dynamic and committed to the good things of this world. Let us also extend that same commitment to one another. We are going to have a wonderful future, a future that our towns ancestry, as well as ourselves, can be proud of.
I was born in Edmonton in 1979 and am the second of six children. When I was nine my family moved to a farm southwest of Crossfield, where I lived until my early 20's. I then moved to Calgary, then Airdrie. I have always enjoyed country living and was fortunate to purchase my acreage in Crossfield, in 2005.
I am blessed to have Brianna who is a wonderful and supportive wife. Together, we have three boys, Wyatt, 8, Landen, 7, and Everett, 4, and are in the process of adopting a young man of fifteen. Crossfield is where we decided to raise our family.
Since graduating from Bert Church High School in 1996, I completed a commercial pilot’s license while working full time. When I obtained my license, I flew nurses into remote, northern, native reserves. I then attended the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. While in school, I started an investment firm, as well as, a commercial property maintenance company. Fortunately these business ventures proved successful and I was able to begin traveling and focusing on some of my other passions.
Seeing some scary parts of the world, I have come to appreciate good government and sound policy. I grew up with many politically active family members and friends. My interest in politics began at a very young age. I have been very active in provincial politics and have forged many strong and sincere relationships with sitting MLA’s and soon to be MLA’s. It was only in the last couple of months that I decided that I too needed to get personally involved to help ensure a great future for our community. I have many other interests in addition to politics. I have come to know myself better, through humanitarian efforts. This work has brought me great satisfaction. I love to horseback ride, especially along trails in the mountains or in an open field. I love hockey and played a season with the ‘Ice Hawks’ team in Crossfield. I enjoy aerobatic flying, sky diving, sailing, rock climbing, scuba diving (especially shark diving), caving, hiking, biking, fishing, golfing and many other activities. I love to travel and have visited Israel, Palestine, Europe, Russia, USA, and the Caribbean. I recently spent two weeks in Haiti assisting with relief efforts in the aftermath of the earthquake.
My greatest passion is freedom and my focus in life is to make a difference.

Jason was born and raised in Langley, BC and received his B.A. (History) from Simon Fraser University.
Jason and his wife, Julianne, were married in 1998 and they were joined by daughter Ava in 2003 and son William in 2006.
In late 2006 Jason and his family moved to Crossfield when he transferred to the Calgary office for the large US based Electronics Distributor he was working with in BC.
In 2009 Jason decided to move to a smaller, Canadian based Electronic Manufacturers Representation firm, where he is currently working as the Sales Manager for Western Canada.
In 2010 Jason decided to run for Crossfield Town Council as a way to become involved further in his town.
I was born in Winnipeg in 1956 and moved to Calgary in 1979 with my young family.
I have lived in the Crossfield area since 1992 and in town for 8 years. During this time I raised my family, built an accounting business and I am now looking forward to retiring in Crossfield.
I have a strong interest in in the community and this has led me to volunteer in a variety of position on many committees and boards in Crossfield and the MD of Rockyview. I thank the voters for the opportunity they have given me and promise to work to the best of my abilities to make Crossfield a better place to live work and play.

Moved to the Town of Crossfield in 1971 and raised two children. My hobbies are gardening, reading and taking care of my pets. Have acted as an elected official for six terms serving both as Mayor and Councillor. I feel it is important to be involved and make a difference in the community.
