The Mountain View Regional Water Services Commission owns and operates the Anthony Henday Water Treatment Plant, which is situated on the banks of the Red Deer River northwest of Innisfail.

The Mountian View Regional Water Services Commission at its discretion may impose Water Restrictions on its member communities at any time. The Commission reviews water restrictions with its member communities annually.

There are four Water Restriction levels:

Level 1 - Restrict outside watering (lawn, garden, car washing at home, etc.) to even-numbered addresses on even

calendar days, and odd-numbered addresses on odd calendar days.

Level 2 - Ban on all outside watering and Limit sale of Bulk Water at the discretion of the Town (if applicable) and

Industrial users requested to limit their consumption where possible until further notice.

Level 3 - Ban on all outside watering and Discontinue sale of Bulk Water (if applicable) and Ban on all water use by

Industrial users and Commercial establishments such as car washes.

Level 4 - Ban on all water use except for essential services (fire fighting / hospital / medical).


Setting up a Town Utility Account

Town of Crossfield Utility accounts are set up solely in the property owner's name. (Tenants may receive a copy of bi-monthly Utility statement upon owner's request.) All new utility accounts are subject to a non-refundable administration fee of $51.00.

Your utilities statement includes charges for water, wastewater (sewer), garbage and curbside recycling.  Utility statements are sent out bi-monthly on the 25th of the month, starting in January and are due on the 15th day of the following month. 

Have your Utility Bill emailed directly to you.  E-Bill Utility Statements are now available.  Please fill out an E-Bill Utility Service Agreement and return to the Town Administration Office prior to the next billing date to avoid a $2.00 Paper bill fee. 


Rates and Charges - 2018

Effective March, 2018, the water charge allows for 5000 gallons or 22.7m3 of water usage for both Residential and Commercial services , an additional $3.25 is charged for every cubic meter (or 220 gallons) of water used over the minimum - sewer is added at 70% of the water overage on Residential and Commercial services 90% to Industrial services.  Overdue statements will be charged  7% per bi-monthly bill.
