Community Profile

Town of CrossfieldWelcome to Crossfield

Crossfield is a community with a population of 2,918 based on the 2014 Census.  The convenience of the community having a close proximity to two city centers (Calgary and Airdrie) provides easy access to big city amenities while maintaining quiet country living at its best.

Crossfield offers two schools, a volunteer fire department, a community centre, ice arena, curling rink, library, 18 hole golf course, seniors' complexes, walking paths and more.

We believe that Crossfield is a safe, nurturing community that offers a great combination of country and urban living. Residents have easy access to work, shopping, recreational/cultural attractions, and educational institutions.

If you are looking for a new place to start a business, consider the Town of Crossfield. We are an energetic community and have opportunity abounds for retail, commercial and industrial enterprises seeking a solid base.

Our location adjacent to the 2A highway and easy access to Queen Elizabeth Highway (QE2) corridor provides direct access to major trading centers, such as Calgary, Airdrie, and Edmonton, as well as access to the smaller municipalities along the QE2.  Crossfield has no business tax and has one of the lowest town utility rates compared to surrounding municipalities.

You will be impressed by our eagerness to do business and our proven record of sustained expansion. If you are looking for a new place to set up operations, whatever your industry, Crossfield welcomes you to consider our unique advantages.
